Un joven de 24 años perdió la vida, esta mañana, en medio de un choque fatal ocurrido en la Carretera 111 en el Barrio Pueblo en Lares. A eso de las 6:25 a.m., Javier Olivencia Pérez, vecino del Barrio Cidral en San Sebastián, impactó con su vehículo un poste frente a la farmacia Walgreens de Lares, en aparente exceso de velocidad.

De acuerdo a la información preliminar ofrecida por la Policía, Olivencia Pérez, conducía un auto Acura Integra color negro, modelo 1996 en dirección de San Sebastián a Lares, cuando impactó un poste del alumbrado que le causó la muerte en el acto.

Hasta el momento, se desconocen más detalles relacionados con el accidente que está siendo investigado por el agente Melvin Ramos, adscrito a la División de Patrullas de Carreteras de Utuado junto al fiscal Miguel Ramírez.

Mientras, la noticia corrió como pólvora en las redes sociales, donde amigos lamentan la muerte del joven, a quien llamaban “Javi”. Según se desprende de comentarios de algunos allegados, al momento del choque, Olivencia Pérez conversaba por su teléfono celular mientras conducía a velocidad exagerada cuando perdió el control del vehículo.
